FLORIDA!

Eric & I spent the long Memorial Day weekend with my best bud Keely down in Florida. We were all over...stayed with Keely in Lakeland and then spent Saturday in Orlando and Sunday in Tampa. While in Orlando, we went to the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum and then headed to City Walk at Universal where we walked around and hung out at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville! WOOHOO :) We then went to the Cuban District in Tampa called Ybor City(pronounced E-bore) and then saw the very hilarious singing comedian, Pat Godwin. Wonderful time! We also hung out with Keely's boyfriend and a couple of their friends...it was just a GREAT weekend! We had a blast :) And below are some photos from the quick trip down...

Eric and I went to our good friends Tommy & Ellen's wedding on Saturday. And this is the only picture of us we got!

One year down, 29 to go!

Well today marks the One Year Anniversary of having the keys to our own home :) It has been quite the exciting year...as we got married 6 weeks after moving in and then all the joys (and ills) of being a home owner! Lots and lots of painting, cleaning, decorating and more painting have gone into the house to make it our home. But we wouldn't have it any other way :)

Things still on our "to do" list:

• Dining Room Table (a large, black farm house style w/ seating for 6)
• Kitchen Buffett (it is picked out @ JCPenney...just waiting to order it [again in black])
• Faux or Bamboo Hardwood Flooring (living room and hallway...the darker the better!)
• Crown Moulding (living room, hallway and dining room...)
• 4 inch Baseboards (will really accent the colors on the walls)
• End Tables & TV Stand (we are still deciding on exactly what we want!)
• Guest Room Funishings
• Leather Reading Chair & Lamp (for the office)
• White Bi-Fold Closet Doors
• White, 6-Panel interior doors
• New Front Door, Laundry Room Door, and Patio Door (either sliding or French w/ side lights)
• ...and most important...Completely Renovate BOTH Bathrooms (no more blue & green!)

...and much more than this I am sure!!!

New paint in the guest room!

Alrighty, yesterday as Eric and my dad put in new bathroom vents and then vented them through the roof (wow...what a great job they did!!!), my mom and I (finally) painted our guest room. Now all the rooms, minus the bathrooms, are painted. Check out a couple pics. Will now start shopping for a bed for the room, a few furnishings and a lovely moss-colored quilt, the room will be ready for some overnight guests :)

A Great Day at the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!

Yesterday morning, my mom and I left at 6:00am to drive to Muncie, pick up my Aunt Geri and then headed to Ft Wayne to the Vera Bradley Spring 2009 Outlet Sale. And let me tell you, it was seriously one of the most fun days ever! We stood in line for about 1 hour to get in and once inside, we shopped til we dropped for about 2 hours. Tables were filled with items, though some stuff had sold out the prior days. But overall, I saved 80% OFF the original prices for my total bill. Here is a quick look at the amazing prices I got on some great Vera items:

Tall Zip Tote : Original Price $84 - OUTLET Price $20

All in all, I spent with tax $80, but I got $400 worth of merchandise. I'd say THAT is one heck of a deal :)
